"Ned and the Nude": A spec Simpsons™ comic

Now featured on my ComicSpace page!

Nedflanders Check out "Ned and the Nude," a 6-page Simpsons comicbook audition, written by me, pencilled by Don Secrease, inked and colored by Bill Lux. It's a SPEC SAMPLE, showing our attempt to write and draw in the style of Bongo Comics, publisher of The Simpsons™ in print.

Don and I co-created Mel Cool: Mall Cop® and a bunch of other comics stuff. We love "The Simpsons" and wanted to try our hand at working in that Slurpee-snortin-out-your-nose hilarious universe.

[In my advertising life, I wrote some radio commercials for "The Simpsons" TV series. You can hear one of them, the 60-second spot with the amazing Robert Goulet, here.]

"Ned and the Nude" is presented purely as a sample of our comic-creatin' abilities, such as they are, and represents our humble take on some characters we adore. Hope you enjoy.

Okay, Bongo Comics, give us a call! We're ready to play for real! -- Walt, Don and Bill
