Bikini and body art, 1970s style. Dig it if you can.
Just found my Jennings High School 1973 yearbook, prompted by all the recent hubbub by the Worst Senior Picture Ever and [ahem] my own. SUCH potential for further wacky scans! Here's is one of the weirdest photos of me ever taken, and that's saying something, because I've been in some VERRRRRRY weird photos. It's from the "Senior Superlatives" section ("Most Popular," "Best Athlete," "Best Hair," etc.) But wait! The oh-so-nerdy 17-year-old version of me was voted not those things but...
"Most Artistic?" Isn't that like being "Most Odd?" And the yearbook photographer had the idea to demonstrate this by shooting a photo of me "body-doodling" on fellow artiste Pat O'Donnell? Truly, I don't remember a second of it (too bad), but like they say: it WAS the 70s.
Too bad my sketch was so sucky. I might have been a little nervous. Nowadays I would really take my time if the chance arose to doodle on anyone's abdomen. Hey, Sheila, where are those body paints?
And 1973's best sport, Pat O'Donnell: Are you out there, Pat? Report in, please.
Far out, my man. I can dig that that cosmic jive...

No way! Only YOU had that kind of amazing fun life in high school. My memories of the 70s are exceeding boring... wait a minute..kinda like all of my life. Okay, so you were Mr. Cool Artist even then. Why does that surprise me? I had hoped that you were once a regular dullard like the rest of us, in high school at least. I have never even had my photo taken in a bikini. Ever hear from your canvas?

I can lurk no longer! I believe I was just around the corner when that photo was taken. Just noticed the paint smudge above the bikini top... what were you doing to prepare fopr this one? Haven't thought of Patti O'Donnell in years, and it took a shot of Walt to bring it back. Was it us or the 70's that was so strange?

great photo. the thing that makes it the most fun for me is the bikini clad babe bears an uncanny resemblance to one of my college roommates [it is not she]. ah the '70s...good times :-)
