Back from Sedona with Sheila B.

    06addysswitchup

The trip was cosmic and splendiferous. Some highlights:

    Sedona2006firewater2_1

Oak Creek: we saw fire in the water. And had firewater. Coincidence?

    Sedona2006sheilainvortex

Sheila hiking Airport Mesa. Lens flares? Vortex energy emanating into the visible spectrum? Or the mushrooms kicking in?

Redhead, red rocks. The theme is red.

Yes, I did put a down payment on a condo. Like it? [Full set o' pics here.]

Let us momentarily turn our gaze to a dry place.

Take a breath with this Earth energy vortex.
And send prayers and aid to places not as dry.

I'm happy it's Friday. Are you happy it's Friday? Here's a photo that expresses the happiness I feel that it's Friday.

    Juniperjoy

Photos by: me. Model: my friend the writer Terry Winkelmann, posing as her alter-ego, "Juniper Joy." The location: Sedona, Arizona, the magic nexus of Vortex energy and site of my retirement fantasties. No, I'm not there today. I'm in St. Louis, writing and storyboarding and eating leftover vegetarian chili (from Whole Foods; recommended.) But to distract myself, I was shuffling some photos on the G4, saw this snap from a previous journey to the magic lands of the Southwest, and decided to post it. Why? (A.) To let some Sedona-powered pixels glow on us all this Friday, and (B.) to embarrass Terry.

Have great weekends, and may you feel just like this at least once before Monday.

P.S. Let's pull the lens back a little. Terry is actually sitting here:

The site of my house in Sedona, Arizona.

My retirement house, that is. In 20 years. But it starts with a vision, right? Well, this sun-kissed Vortex, part of my "retirement location scouting," was gloriously fun to shoot, which I did with my little Olympus (2.1 megapixels,) the last time I was there, which was -- good grief! -- September '02. Too long ago. Who's up for a return?

Hmmm. I'd love to post more photos here, but they don't exactly fall under the category of "comedy writing." Unless I give them all funny captions. Okay. I need a funny caption for this one. Ahem:

"How do you get red rocks? Sunbathe on your back in the nude."

That doesn't even make sense. I'll keep working on it.
